Classroom Tip: Extra Credit Tree

Do you often hear, "How can I bring up my grade?" from your students.  Here's a suggestion...post a large cutout tree in your classroom. Label several cutout leaves with an extra-credit assignment and a point value based on the difficulty of the project. Then add the leaves to the tree. When a student wants to earn extra-credit points, just have him/her choose a leaf and complete the assignment.
