Recycled cereal boxes make a great place to store students' reading books! Cut the narrow side of a medium-size cereal box at an upward angle. Then cover it and glue a library pocket on one side. The students can then personalize their own book holder with stickers, pictures, and drawings. Each child can store books for silent reading in their holder. Index cards can be placed in the pocket to record the book titles and the pages read.
